Our MissionTHE MILITARY VEHICLE PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION (MVPA) - ROADRUNNER CONVOY To provide an international organization for military vehicle enthusiasts, historians, preservationists and collectors interested in the acquisition, restoration, preservation, safe operation, public education and display of historic military transport. As part of our education mission, we also may provide historic military vehicles for film production support.
MVPA PurposeFor more than 100 years, military vehicles have been used in the making of history around the world. Now there is an organization designed with the military vehicle enthusiast in mind: The Military Vehicle Preservation Association. Formed in 1976, the MVPA, a not-for-profit organization, has over 10,000 members and is growing rapidly. Membership is worldwide and organized into active affiliated groups in many areas of the United States and Canada, as well as Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand and Norway. The MVPA is dedicated to fulfilling the needs of all military vehicle enthusiasts including vehicle preservers and restorers, historians and collectors, show, parade, and trail ride participants, and scale modelers. Your membership includes subscriptions to Army Motors and Supply Line and access to technical advisors considered to be experts on a variety of vehicles. An international convention sponsored by MVPA is held annually and features vehicle displays, judging, a parts swap meet, technical and historical seminars, a business meeting and several social events. Members of the MVPA strive to generate positive public interest in the collection, preservation, and enjoyment of historic military vehicles.
Roadrunner Convoy PurposeThe New Mexico Roadrunners Convoy is the local MVPA organization where members meet monthly to discuss military vehicle history and participation in parades, ceremonies and other military events around New Mexico. As a member, you have access to many differing military technical experts and historians to help you in your military vehicle restoration project. Please join, and get to ride in an authentic antique military vehicle!
